Auto Repair FAQs From Our Service Center
Our Service Center Loves To Help
Providing car repair service is what we do best, but providing great customer service is our pride and joy. We’ve assembled some of the most frequently asked questions our Marlow service center receives, so you can know the answers before you’ve even asked the questions. If you have a question or concern that isn’t listed, don’t hesitate to contact our Front Royal car dealership and speak to one of our representatives.
Warranty FAQs
- Do I have to use the manufacturer’s original equipment parts to keep my warranty valid? No. It is illegal for automakers to specify which parts you must use to service your vehicle, so you may use any part you like and keep a valid warranty. However, we highly recommend using Mopar® parts for any of your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or RAM auto repair to ensure your vehicle runs at peak performance.
- What do I have to do to keep my vehicle’s warranty in effect? Service your vehicle at the intervals specified in the owner’s manual or warranty booklet. We recommend that you keep records of your vehicle’s maintenance including the date, parts installed, vehicle identification number (VIN), mileage recorded on the invoice and receipts. We also highly recommend you use the service log in the owner’s manual to keep your records if available.
Maintenance FAQs
- How often should I get my oil changed? Schedule oil change service as often as recommended in your owner’s manual or every 5,000 miles.
- How often should I rotate my tires? You should have your tires rotated every 6,000 miles. Neglecting to rotate your tires can result in premature tire wear, so be vigilant about this for the health of your tires.
- Do I really need to replace my timing belt at the interval recommended in the owner’s manual? Yes. Neglecting to replace your timing belt can result in severe engine damage.
- What should I do if my car starts to overheat? If you see the check engine light while your engine’s very hot, pull over as soon as it is safe to do so Driving an overheated car will certainly damage your engine. Oftentimes the engine is overheating due to a lack of the engine coolant. If you have engine coolant, wait until your car cools down before checking then add some if necessary. This may fix your issue. If this isn’t what’s causing your car to overheat, get your car to the nearest auto repair facility.
Service FAQs
- I’ve heard there are parts on my car that need to be regularly replaced. Is this true? Yes. Check your owner’s manual for all of the information you’ll need regarding service intervals for each part.
- Am I responsible for maintenance when I’m leasing my vehicle? Yes. You are responsible for all maintenance and repairs required to keep the vehicle in good working order for the duration of your lease. To do so, follow the recommendations in your owner’s manual.
